NS MGel 1162
(Patent Pending)
NS MGel 1162 is a Bentonite/Silicone Elastomer based thickening, self-emulsifying gel in volatile Isododecane. It is ideal for making very stable W/O emulsions, without the use of additional thickeners/structurants or emulsifiers at room temperature or elevated temperature. Emulsions made with MGel 1162 do not have the processing and scale-up challenges that are a part of formulating most W/O emulsions. With the use of NS MGel 1162, formulators can achieve consistent viscosity at elevated, temperature as well as F/T and RT.
Features & Benefits
VMakes stable W/O emulsions at room temperature
Makes W/O emulsions without the addition of emulsifiers or thickeners
Enhances wear
Stabilizes oil phases against syneresis
Consistent viscosity over time
Viscosity is relatively constant at 45°C, 50°C and F/T
Worldwide approved
Applications
W/O Foundations
High SPF water-proof creams and lotions
High internal phase emulsions (HIPE)
Low internal phase emulsions (LIPE)
Ideal for making long-wearing foundations
BB and CC creams
Use Level
13 – 20 %
Formulation Tips
Disperse in oil phase using a homogenizer or high shear mixer to totally disperse for maximum benefit. Add water phase slowly with high shear homogenization for 4-5 minutes until all the water is added. Do not add any additional thickeners, waxes or emulsifiers. Ideally suited for room temperature emulsions
